I am from a small town in Ohio, and I am married to a wonderful man and we have two children - both girls, aged 24 and 20. (If this looks familiar from the last bio that was up here - its because I am copying and pasting coz I dont really have any idea how to start this off other than the way I did before! LOL!). Our oldest daughter is making my husband and I first time grandparents in 2 months - a boy! Yahooooo! Dont think I could do that puberty thing again with another girl - jeeeeeez! No wise cracks now about gray hair or my age, ya hear? Our youngest daughter is attending Ohio U and just became engaged over this past Christmas. For those of you that dont know ( I cant believe there is anyone left in the world of Mirc that doesnt know...) we decided this past year to sell our home and move on to our boat full time. What a winter it has been for our first one living on the boat. We have learned alot, slept little, gotten very frustrated, (no, I have NOT thrown Dan overboard yet!), and are trying to figure out why in the world we EVER wanted to do this in the first place! Hopefully spring & summer will make up for the winter...otherwise we will be looking for winter lodging somewhere else (anyone have a room for rent?) and the blasted boat will be in storage!
Ircwavplayers has survived through many problems and many changes. Leaving Dalnet because of the 'no sharing files' rule, moving to Phazenet, and the creator of Mirc changing new versions to join on random servers certainly made a difference on the size of our room, but not the heart of it. Our sops, ops & hops are still the best around - on any server. You will find a wide variety of music, different formats, trivia, many different conversations, and a variety of people from all walks of life and different countries in Ircwavplayers. For those that have not visited us in awhile, most of our rules have changed as well. It is much more open now, much more relaxed and geared more towards adults than children, so check us out the next time your around! You may find the changes that were made make you much more comfortable in the room.
Ircwavplayers has seen several people changes as well. For those having babies and sharing pics with us...we thank you and are pleased to share this with you. For those who have lost loved ones, I hope that having a place you could come and find a friendly person to chat with and share your grief made things a little better for you. For those of us that have survived major illness - kudos and thank you for allowing us to be part of your recovery. To those of us that are still undergoing ongoing treatments, surgeries, etc...I personally want to say thank you to all that have supported, prayed, cried and listened to not just myself, but to all of us that have been unfortunate enough to fall victim to illness in their lifes. No one ever gets turned away or gets the cold shoulder in Ircwavplayers, what an awesome thing to be able to boast about where a 'chat room' is concerned.
To the sops, ops, hops, regulars and guests - Thank You. You are the heart and soul of Ircwavplayers...we would not be here but for all of you.
