Boy where do I begin?
Well I am a 58 year old kid, married to a wonderful woman named Marge
she is the light of my life, she makes my world shine.
I work for a Kenworth Truck Dealership, as the Parts Manager, in my
not much spare time I help with the computer junk.... That part I hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
It seems I do more of that then what they hired me for.
I join Mirc around 1992 and one day back around 1998 I dropped in on
#Ircwavplayers. From there it is all history, after a couple weeks one
of the Op's asked me if I wanted to train for OP's I said I wasn't real
sure, but asked what was expected of me. I should have ran off then!!!
But didn't dum HUH.
After a couple days of thinking I told Soxy and Gwen give me your best
shot. Thinking back I can say that it was the best part of Ircwavplayers
the huge amount helps we did. And lets not forget the mega meetings
that ran for hours,,,,, those I don't miss. I am not real sure when
I made SOP, but that was a experience it's self. Oscar and Mal were
and still are brats. The woman that gave me my interview for OP'S ,
I'll not mention her name also had me thinking screw you lady I don't
need this shit. It really wasn't a interview but a Hey jerk why do you
want to be a OP we don't think you can handle the pressure. The rest
is history... :o)
One the the best parts of our channel everyone is treated as family.
Some of us have visited one and another or the years, I got Peggysue
in my bed while I visited her while I was in Seattle. Boy the wife cracked
up after seeing the pictures we took. My sister Bones sent the dam pictures
all over Dalnet I think.
Really guys there are different channels but you can always call #Ircwavplayers
home.
Over the years we have lost some fantastic OP's and Sop's to illnesses,
those are the ones that I miss the most. I sure hope they HAVE Mirc
in heaven. Because if they do look out people make room for #Ircwavplayers!!!!!!!!!!!!
